AutoView is an Autorun program for use on CD/CDR. It is designed to add convenience and professionalism to the CDs
you create by having them automatically launch a selected file after CD insertion. The program comes with a short
wizard to create the Autorun program for your CDs. Just copy the two files the wizard creates to your CD, along
with your own files and you are done. AutoView can be used to open any file type in the user's designated viewer.
If no recognized viewer is found for the specified document then the program can prompt the user with a list of
installable viewers (from the CD). When creating an Autorun CD with a HTML interface, where the CD's contents are
browsed via web pages in the user's browser, the program will detect this. The Set-up Wizard can load up the current settings for quick and easy changing of the programs set-up. After completion of the Wizard, simply write the two files the Wizard automatically created for you (which includes the Autorun.inf file) to the base of the CD and your CD will Autorun.
If the CD author opted to offer a number of browser installation files on the CD, AutoView will offer the user the
option to install the browser as they choose. Other cases where installable viewers may be useful are Adobe Acrobat
documents (PDF), ZIP archive CDs, MS PowerPoint presentation CDs and formatted text documents. AutoView has faster
searching and execution. It can compile your entire autorun into one EXE, requiring no other files or DLLs to run.
AutoView has upgraded Wizard that is even easier to handle, with fewer steps and has greater forward compatibility, while retaining compatibility with previous windows operating systems. The set-up Wizard takes you through a few simple steps to setting up the program for your CD. For CD authors who do not require an installation menu, this program is effectively a one-step process.
