ImgBurn is an adaptable burning program that can read to an image file and create an image file from files on your computer or network. It writes an image file to a disc and checks a disc is 100% readable. The program erases and formats rewritable media. You can have ImgBurn compare it against a given image file to ensure the actual data is correct. It supports file formats like: BIN, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI. The program supports Unicode folder/file names and has some advanced characteristics. It burns DVD Video and supports all the latest drives without the need for updates (booktype/bitsetting/advanced settings on many of the major ones: BenQ, LiteOn, LG, NEC, Plextor, Sony, Samsung). ImgBurn is an image queue system for when you're burning some images (which you can automatically share between multiple drives if you have more than one) and an easy to handle layer break selection screen for double layer DVD Video jobs. It has Automatic Write Speed characteristic that permits you store your favorite burn speed settings on a per 'Media ID' basis, right down to a drive level. The burn process will start automatically when the program has finished initialising.
ImgBurn can display and analyse Write speed and buffer levels captured during the burn. It has support for Lite-On drives to the 'Auto Change Book Type' feature and can load an IBB via CLI no longer requires a path. The program will use the current working directory if one isn't specified, making it a bit more portable. It has Drag'n'Drop of a folder containing an .ISO and a .MDS file (of the same name*) should have been filtering out the ISO and just adding the MDS. The program has '/OUTPUT' as an alternative to '/BUILDMODE' for a command line argument. You can put your drive/media to the test and check the quality of the burns your drive is producing. It supports ISO9660, ISO9660+Joliet, ISO9660+Joliet+UDF, ISO9660+UDF, UDF. You can set write speed and make Image Bootable. In ISOBUILD mode, you can specify an '.IBB' file as the source and select the file name or drive. Drive Letter or SCSI Address applies to ISOWRITE and DISCOVERY modes. It can change the value within the drop down list exactly and set the value of the volume label fields. The program can simulate the burn and verify a disc is readable after it has been burnt.
