Disc Image is designed to be an Editor, Converter and a driver that can mount ISO CD/DVD images. This gives the impression that a new CD/DVD-ROM drive has been added and a disc has been inserted. It is even possible to mount as many images as there are available drive letters. Disc Image permits you to store frequently used CD/DVD images so they can be accessed quickly and removes the need to have a disc left in the CD/DVD drive when running applications that require access to the disc. The program includes an application for converting images from BIN types to ISO and converts from .bin, .mdf, .cdi, .nrg to ISO, or even from unknown formats if the geometry is known. It has a simple user-friendly and intuitive interface.
Disc Image system permits images to be mounted locally protecting certain images from unauthorized use. It allows software stored on servers to be installed without finding the installation CD/DVD(s). There is no need for special server software as the small driver is installed on each of the targets. You can right-click or
double-click an ISO image file to mount it. It is fully multi-threaded and any size of image can be used even DVD10 games. It creates ISO images from files/folders with ISO9660, Joliet and UDF file systems. Disc Image has faster access than the quickest CD drive. Because the driver works with the ISO standard you can store images that can be accessed by other operating systems like: Machintosh and Unix as they already have the ability to mount ISO images built-in. It includes an ISO image editor that will create images based on a compilation of files and folders. The images include a number of different file systems.
